The Nelson Society is attending 2 formal evening events:
1st October 19.30: Arbory Church for a Dedication Service for a stained-glass window to commemorate Captain John Quilliam RN. The window also features Admiral Nelson, as Quilliam was his First Lieutenant on HMS Victory at Trafalgar.
2nd October 19.30: the Quilliam Group is holding an inaugural Black Tie Dinner at The Falcon’s Nest, Port Erin @ £40 pp which will be attended by Adam Wood the IOM Lieutenant Governor. A special Victorian Steam Train is available to take us from Douglas to The Falcon’s Nest
During the day on Friday and Saturday, TNS member, Frank Cowin, has kindly offered to arrange some optional events, which could include visits to
the Tynwald Parliament site (claimed to be the oldest parliament in the world)

The Frank Matcham Gaiety Theatre
The Viking Ship burial site
Bligh/Christian (HMS Bounty) sites
