In 2018 the Society contributed towards the creation of a copy of a portrait of Nelson by the Italian artist Guzzardi.
The original of the portrait hangs in the Admiralty Boardroom in London but was initially given by Sir William Hamilton to the Lord Nelson Hotel in Milford Haven. The Admiralty subsequently claimed the portrait, the Society copy was presented to the hotel in an effort to replicate the early history of the painting.
