Chatham Visit – Celebration Meal on HMS Cavalier

07/05/2015

We have now been offered the chance to end the day with a meal aboard HMS Cavalier in Chatham Dockyard to celebrate the 250 years since HMS Victory was launched and 250 years since Emma Hamilton was born on April 26th 1765.

It will also be 10 years since a number of us from TNS were onboard Arion at this time in The Mediterranean in the steps of Admiral Lord Nelson and this is a chance to remember and to celebrate that as well. There will not be another chance to celebrate several very unique happenings  in such a unique setting as aboard HMS Cavalier.

The plan is to conclude the day with a meal aboard HMS Cavalier, that is actually on the slipway where HMS Victory was built.  Fred Sutton TNS member, who will be with us, actually served aboard her sister ship one of his favourite ships and would like to share memories from his favourite posting. It is promising to be an interesting end to a unique day as we have other surprises.

We have been offered an early supper ‘Fish and Ships’ including tea and coffee for £15.00 per person served aboard HMS Cavalier

Please let me know asap by phone or email so I can confirm this with Chatham Dockyard. I
