To celebrate Nelson’s first great victory in 1797, The Nelson Society returns to The Union Jack Club for this ever-popular fixture.
The Lecture is ‘Admiral Lord Nelson: The Man behind the Portraits’.
Captain William Wells, our guest speaker, is a Society Member and Master Mariner. A former ship’s captain and commercial marine pilot, his career at sea lasted just short of 49 years, including a long spell with the Royal Naval Reserve. He joined the RNR in 1986 as Lieutenant and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 1994. In 2006 he was awarded the Reserve Decoration I and is still actively involved in the RNR.
The Union Jack Club is a private members club for members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. Just one minute’s walk from exit 2 of Waterloo Station, it is easily accessible from all parts of the UK.
Please return the form as soon as possible if you would like to attend, as numbers could well be limited.
